Taipei, Taiwan, February 9, 2009 - IBASE Technology (TASDAQ: 8050), a leading manufacturer of single board computers announces the availability of the Intel® AtomT-based ETX CPU module - ET820.

Based on the Intel® AtomT processor N270 running 1.6GHz that is listed in the Intel's embedded roadmap, the new ET820 comes with long lifecycle support and is suitable for compact and rugged designs in infotainment, POS, automation, medical fields and in other industrial and embedded applications requiring only passive cooling. The ET820 delivers optimal performance while consuming only very low power. The N270 processor has a maximum TDP of 2.5 W, while the platform together with the 945GSE Express chipset has a maximum TDP of 12W to 15W.

Measuring 95x114mm, ET820 features the Intel's Graphics Media Accelerator 950 core, supporting both CRT VGA and 18-bit single channel LVDS displays. A DDR2 SO-DIMM socket on board implements up to 1GB of system memory. The board comes built in with a 10/100 Ethernet and standard ETX interfaces for four USB ports, two SATA II ports, audio, PS/2 keyboard/mouse, IDE, parallel port and two serial ports.
